Chris Evans is an Affiliated Researcher at the Civic Engagement Research Group at University of California, Riverside. Her research focuses on the digital literacies and the strategies for cultivating digital imagination that empower youth civic action. Her background includes graduate work in Comparative Literature on the relationship between literature, music and folk traditions at San Francisco State, UC Davis, and music and language studies at the Sorbonne and Schola Cantorum in France and the Universidad Internacional Menéndez-Pelayo and Universidad de Salamanca in Spain. She is also an interdisciplinary artist working to create moments of community through performance.
