Nathan Riemer is a doctoral student in the Department of Sociology at the University of Chicago. His work with the Youth and Participatory Politics Research Network and the Black Youth Project focuses on the ways black youth activists use new media to advance their political commitments. His research interests are in social movements, new/social media, and urban sociology.
